Hello

The system spec is in my sig. My problem: I oc'd the cpu to 3,7GHz and let it prime. After 7-8hrs or so I got an error on one of the cores (in prime it was the one above if that isn't random). The error was when doing 700-800k calculations.

After that, I got the cpu back to it's 3,2GHz which was prime stable for over 25hrs. Now I got an error also on the first core (I don't know if how they show up in prime makes any difference). This time the error was on 70k.

I have changed both the ram and the mobo from the 25hrs prime, so it might be one of them. But if it's not the CPU, then why do I get errors on one core.

Also, both the mobo and the RAM are supposed to be better oc'ers (mobo 965 -> p35; ram pc5300 -> pc8500). I don't know what to do.

Oh, I've also changed the cooler from stock to a tuniq tower. Could it be that the I've tightened the screws too much and it's pressing on the CPU too hard, or maybe on one corner more than the others, or on one less, or something?

Thanks for trying to help me!

What are your load temperatures like?

How old is your PSU?

My PSU is new (1-2 months max), load temperatures are in the low 50s.

LE: The only thing that was different was that when using the Tuniq, there was virtually no air flow on the chipset and mosfet heatsinks. So those may have overheated... maybe?
