Over at Rage3d there is much discussion over the stability of these new drivers, Personally I am not going to even try them after reading the many problems they have caused.

Soooooooooooo......................ATI will be coming out with NEW drivers every 3 weeks???? LOL!!!! Yeah right! The 3286's suck pretty bad overall, and its been almost 5 weeks now. We will be lucky if we see a new set of drivers next month!

BTW in less than 3 months Nvidia will have a new Video Card, and ATI will be right on their heels with another Beta card.

ATI will never be a direct threat to Nvidea until they learn to sell a total package, having a great card and not the driver support to back up the beast makes it a kitty cat........with its claws removed.

This 8500 I have is great and I liked the price but Im going probably going to go back the Nvidia road next upgrade, as Nvidia knows how to put together the total package.

I do not think nvidia will have another card out in 3 months possibly 6 but you probably no more than me on this one. So what is your take on the 8500, how do you like it now that you have used it for a while?

I love my 7500 can not complain at all and TV out at 1024x768 gotta love that!!!

The honest Opnion on the 8500 is that it shows potential, but compatibilities, feature set issues and actual real world performance in my machine hurt this card. Kinda what I said from the very beginning. Yeah I got it to score REAL HIGH in 3d mark 2001, but duplicating those same potentials in my games,DVD movies and video editing has shown to me that this card is a big dissapointment overall. Along with the fact that ATI is actually 3 weeks behind their promise to me about emailing me another beta driver that they were going to release as an official driver the first week of December.

Feels like the ATI RAGE FURY all over again.

And yes Nvidia has a NEW video card in the final stages of development. THis was leaked to me a few days ago by a college aquantance(not a close friend,as we knew each other from a collegiate extracurricular) of mine who works for Nvidia's marketing team.

I will tell you this about the new card(s), 128mb RAM, quad 64 bit pipelines, memory bandwidth equal to almost 3 Ti500's, and potential SLI integration(dependant on new mobo chipset development)!!!!!!

Chew on that folks!
