I'm trying to finalize decisions on my build and I was never 100% settled on a PSU.

Both the 620HX and the OP650 are roughly the same price, but when it come to performance, has one outdone the other? Or are they, like their pricing, really close in performance as well?

I guess I just need a nudge in the right direction, or maybe either direction is a good one?

Thanks in advance!

The 620HX is a fine psu no matter how you look at it. Rated at 620w but can put out quite a bit more.

What I'm gathering from a lot of people, they said they like how the HX is modular, but the OP650 beats it slightly when it comes to performance. But the modular part might be nice, especially for cable management.

What about the 620HX vs DA650? Since they are both modular / same price range?

Majinwar,

The Corsair is cheaper here:

The one to ask on the Corsair vs the DA 650 and the OP 650 is Oklahoma Wolf. Unless there are issues with the two Silverstones, they all have a good reputation. The slight power output difference is insignificant.

If you are going to run just one video card, you don't need the power, however if you are going to run SLI, get a unit that is 8800GT SLI confirmed, like the Etasis ET-850 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817608007) for $129AR.

The 450W VX Corsair is made for Corsair by Seasonic as is the 520W unit. The 450W unit has 33amps on the 12v rail and is more than enough to run any single video card.

Dell computer has the 450W VX on sale for $59.95 after $10 rebate. Here is the link. (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?sku=a1262687&cs=19&c=us&l=en&dgc=SS&cid=25682&lid=585555)
