and why did microsoft buy it when it uses open gl and they own dircet x?

The speculation I've seen and heard is that Halo will make it to pc, but not for about a year: reason being that MS hopes to use the exclusivity to help drive XBox sales!

In other words: "Wanna play this great game Halo? You gotta get an Xbox!"

I'll wait as well. But DAMN it looks fine. If it plays half as good as it looks, it'll be great.

YES Halo will be on the pc! Microsoft are just using it to shift xbox's when it gets released. You wont be waiting quaite as long as a year until you see it on the pc but we will be waiting a while...for a game that was ours anyway :rolleyes:

by the time i have got board with tribes 2, unreal 2 will be out. then when that is finished halo will be out.

got it all planned

Halo was originally plannd for release on mac and pc, then microsoft came along, bought it. mac users can forget about it.

Microsoft owns a bit of mac, so they might get it eventually.

Exactly. Halo is coming to the pc, but MS is waiting to drive the sales of it on the Xbox. I also read the other day that most of the games for the Xbox are coming to the pc, SWEET.

it's not hard, most f x box games were made for a pc, and the x box is really just pc

i agree... Xbox is generally a pc to start off with.. just a little bits and piece microsoft added in for the Xbox so it's special..:D

Its really unfortunate that MS bought Bungie. They made Oni, and Halo, and were planning on Oni 2 after Halo, but now it probably won't happen.

yeh, and i dont get why they chose bungie, they use/used OpenGL on Halo not direct X
