Straight forward question. Which is faster ?

A single XFX 8800gts XXX version (no SLi) or X1900XT's in Crossfire. Which will be faster?

I could careless about the useless DX10 features of the 8800Gts at this point, I just want to know which is faster under current games like CoD4 and Crysis. Ive played BioShock and Crysis and CoD4 on both single cards and have been happy with both. But would buying the second X1900XT and gaming in Crossfire mode pull in front of the factory OC'd Gts ?

Short answer, the 8800GTS will be faster.

Yeah, 8800GTS is the better of the two choices.

first of all you cant even compare dx9 card to dx10....

That makes no sense at all. I can compare anything I like. If a card claims to be backward compatible with DX9 but also claims to be able to do something else...in this case DX10....explain to me why I cant compare them. Especially since I have both sitting in front of me.

an 8800 will spank the dual x1900xt's in most if not all games.
