Hey All,

I just unlocked my 1.1 t-bird with defroster paint. To unlock a processor, you would just have to connect the four L1 bridges right? Anyway I been trying to overclock it with my ASUS A7V. The highest I got so far is 1212 mhz. This is done with 147 bus and Mult 11. It ran stable at this point. So I try to up the mult to 11.5 but it wouldnt work. So I lower the bus to 142 and kept the mult at 11.5 and nothing happen. I kept lowering the bus and up the mult to 12 and nothing happened. I am not sure what is wrong with it. Did I not unlock it? If I didn't unlock it how did I get the cpu to do 1212 stable? Thanks in advance for the help!!!

:p

There are a number of things that might help. First, I would raise the voltage. Second, make sure your cooling is adequate. Third, put the fsb to default (133) and try the multiplier then.

It is possible that you didn't connect the bridges completely. However, it is also possible that your cpu just doesn't have enough power, or does not overclock well. What stepping is it, if you know?

Also, post all of your specs, that would help, memory, psu, cooling etc.

I have had the problem before where your cpu looks like it is unlocked but there just isn't enough of a connection between the bridges. This will cause some multipliers to work and some to not work. The last time this happened to me I reapplied the (I used conductive ink) and it worked fine after words I just used a little more.
