I recently tried to play two games and had some bizarre things happen.

When I played both games as soon as I moved or within 2 mins or so of moving the game froze and locked up my computer to where I had to hit the restart button.

I had cleaned up the all drivers for this card and reinstalled the drivers again.
And it froze again and again.

I tired one of the games on another computer that has a Nvidia Geforce 6600 series card and it works fine.

The drivers are all up-to-date. I am running a dual core processor and 1 gig of ram at the moment.

If anyone can help me with this issue I'd appreciate.

Thank you.

can you post complete specs of your PC?

CPU:
MOBO:
RAM:
8400GS
HDD:
PSU:
COOLING:

So far i have a couple ideas. The 8400GS really isn't meant for gaming, so if it freezes in games, i wouldn't be surprised. The 6600GT > 8400GS.

The secound thought would be ram. Run memtest86+ and see if you get any errors after a couple loops. Bad ram = **** happens.

The third thought would be the PSU. A bad quality PSU will make some funky stuff happen. Even though you may not be running the most uber 1337 pc, a bad psu will cause problems.
