Hi,

I just built a new water cooled PC -

Abit VH6-II
1GHz Celeron at 1.2GHz (10 x 120)
ATI Radeon 32DDR
Linsys 100TX - PCI
Win2K Pro

This system is very stable and I have noticed no other problems other than when sharing files and a dialup net connection, my NIC locks up and my LAN connection gets lost. The NIC works for a while but then locks up. Probably doesn't like the higher PCI Bus speeds. All my temps are very cool.

Has anyone experienced this?

Are there some NIC cards that will handle OC'ing better than others?

Any help appreciated.

I've got a 3com 905 and a Realtek chipped $14 card running on 150 fsbs- no problems.

The realtek chipped card is a CompUSA cheapo. ( I needed a nic and figured $14: what do I have to lose?)

I had the same problem as you with a Kingston, but the DLink fixed all that. LinkSys is supposed to be a good one, so I recently plugged one into each of 3 networked machines and they work fine (so far), but really get little use. Actually, the DLink and one LinkSys are now in a 170 FSB machine running without a hitch (again, so far).

Have you tried swapping slots with the card? Some have mentioned before that this has helped them. You might also check to see if it's getting hot. I have a 486 fan blowing on my DLink, though I can't say if that really helps anything.

Just have to comment: I'm always glad to see others that put fans on things......just in case it helps!:D :D

I've got fans on my router and my hub!

Can't hurt anything, right? :) I've even been considering chopping a hole in my external DSL modem case an sticking a fan on it. Or even removing the whole case. :D

I like fans.
