Quick Off Topic - Copy & Paste ?

Sorry to interrupt, but I'm stuck........

I re-installed Win98SE the other week and I found out that when I Copy to Clipboard, things in unformatted text, I cannot paste them to Wordpad unless I choose Paste Special from the Edit menue. My quick question is; How in the world do I get Copy to Clipboard to automatically paste to Word/Wri with just a simple Paste command? Is there an association somewhere for this? I didn't find one int he associate file types. What am I missing here?

I know it used to work, because I use it a lot in Yahoo mail.

Were you trying to copy and paste some non-English text? If you did, I think the windows treated it as an ASCII code instead of normal text. Pls correct me if i'm wrong.
