Is my Power supply going to be enough for my new x1950 Pro

I just ordered a Asus EAX1950PRO Video card from newegg. I am concerned that my PSU will not be enough for it.

I have an Antec EA380w. Anybody know if this will be enough for this card? What Problems will I run into if It not enough?

The rest of my system includes

Athlon 4600+ x2
1GB DDR2 800
SATA 250GB HD
LG DVD/CDRW combo drive
One 120mm Three speed fan
One CPU fan

27A combined on the 12v line should be enough for this card.

You're at the bare minimum, it should be enough but if you notice any random reboots while gaming then you know what the problem is.

That little PSU is an animal!

Anyone remember the guy here who ran the quad extreme and 8800ultra looping 3dmark06 for days and he didnt kill it? I believe he sold it in the classies and is still working today.

ea380 runs the c2d system in my sig. with 8800GTX on top of it. just make sure you have good case ventilation and you are good.

btw, it's a single 12v rail psu.

All of the Earthwatts are single 12v rails. They are just advertised as dual rails for some odd reason. Hopefully you have one of the really well built ones that can handle any card you throw at it. If not, you can always go up to the 430w or 500w. As Vixro said, you should be fine but reboots will be a tell tale sign of the PSU not handling the load.

With my undervolted X2 4000+ I was powering my system, which has an x1950pro with a 120W PicoPSU. The Earthwatts is well beyond capable. The x1950pro is a 65W video card.

it may be fine but it could be a excuse to buy a new one. I made the same excuse to get my corsair hx520 and a new case(CM690) could not be any happyer
