Do you get BSOD at default cpu speed? Have you tried other drivers (like the defaults available on microsoft's site)??

I would give George Breese's PCI Latency patch a try. You can download it here...

http://download.viahardware.com/vlatency_v019.zip

You can read about the patch in this thread at Viahardware here...

http://bbs.pcstats.com/viahardware/messageview.cfm?catid=19&threadid=8947

I would also disable Fast Writes, having it enabled causes too many problems especially with the newer 23.xx version drivers.

AFA Sidebanding being disabled in Windows, it's a driver issue. The newer drivers disable SBA even though it's enabled either in your board's BIOS, or in the card's BIOS. You can try enabling it using WPCREDIT, but once you do...it will probably lock up Windows. I believe the chipset register is A9 and Bit 01 to enable SBA, and register A5 bit 01 to support SBA. Register A5 should obviously be enabled, since support for SBA is shown in WCPUID...but register A9 will have Bit 01 set to 0 because the drivers have disabled it.

AFA the chipset registers for the VIA Apollo Pro, you can download the correct *.pcr file for the 133A chipset from Viahardware here...

http://www.viahardware.com

...to work with WPCREDIT. They also have an article on modifying the chipset registers for the 133A, and using WPCRSET to save your settings.

In my case, my board and card both support SBA...and it's enabled by default using an Nvidia reference BIOS. Using the newer drivers, SBA is disabled by the driver set...using the 22.50's for example, it's enabled in Windows (using WCPUID to verify).

Damn you're good! :D

Some of that is over my head and I consider myself somewhat savy; I think with me if it don't work I return it or buy new hardware that does :p ... j/k

**Based on your responses in the other thread, I am going to guess you program for a living... or have nothing better to do but leanr the ins and outs of driver construction :D Great to have you as an asset, though I hardly get what you're saying half the time :p **

I'm really lost

For some time I thought I'm over this BSOD ...

But it just got back.

When I run on the cpu original 800MHz notoverclocked the BSOD is still around.

The 23.11 is a killer for my system BSOD all over the place...

The driver is 21.81 on defualt settings.

anyone that overcome this big blue ? with my spec that can give me a hint ?

(I read u all guys & thank u alot but I don't realy see anything that can help my case, well at least that what i think)

10q all

Is your video card O/C'd? This happens when I abuse my poor little GF2 Pro no matter what drivers I have.

I'll let u know about the blue depth :)

Here's an article that you might want to check out, might be of some help to you...

http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=64

BTW, did you try the "PCI Latency Patch" like I suggested? Also, have you installed the new v. 4.10 AGP driver over the 4.37's?...if not, it wouldn't be a bad idea. You can get the 4.10's from here...

i had this problem i found that going into safe mode, uninstalling my drives and video card then installing newest nvidia ones fixed my problems...
