What is the minimum amount of memory I should have to run games at 1920x1200? I am looking to step up from my current card and am wondering what I should be looking at.

I wouldnt get less than a 512 card for that resolution. 1 gig would be ideal.

1920x is pretty high, especially if you turn up the textures. I would not get lower than 512mb either with that res.

but it seems to be the general consensus that 1 gig would be best (I am assuming I would notice quite a difference between 512 and 1 gig or maybe 640 for that matter.)

Really the 640 and 768 memory at least on the nVidia cards will help out more with AA enabled but overall 512Meg would be basically a requirement, more will help out only if you are able to enable AA without considerably slow downs just from the GPU itself not being able to handle it.

Min 512 but more would be even better.
