First Hi everybody I was wondering if someone could help me configure my router it is a D-Link DI-704 what I want to do is open the ports for unreal Tournament game or other games on the internet i want to host a couple of games but they can not see my games on the internet and I do not know how to do this please help me Thank you all:confused: :confused:

I know, for my Linksys router, you open and close ports in Internet Explorer (or Netscape). You enter the IP address of the router in IE and enter the user name and password, if one set, and boom, your in.

thanks for the reply but what I need to know is what port or port numbers and where to put them so they can see my unreal tournament game on the internet D-Link DI- 704:(

This should probably be in Networking/Internet.

I'd check the documentation for the game, see if it tells you what ports the game uses. If they don't want to tell you, you could try putting the pc directly on the connection and try some Port monitoring utilities.

I've never had any problems with games not running through my router, you can try opening 5100-5101, but yeah, consult UT's docs for port numbers.
