A question for the more experienced folders. Can someone please tell me what the deal is with the transmission of finished WU's failing? Will it stay in que until it succeeds, or is there a more serious problem. Hope not, or that's an awful lot of CPU time down the drain. Please see screen dump below.
Thx in advance.

It will keep trying until the server comes back up. This happens once in a while.
I believe you have a configuration error. :(
FAH has an option that it asks during it's initial configuration, either to use IE settings=no, or =yes.
You chose yes, I believe. Unfortunately, since IE7 came along, that causes an "http wininet" error, preventing connection to Stanford.
Change that setting to "Use IE settings=no", and you'll immediately be in business, if the server's are OK. (of course).
You'll need to Control-C each fah client, before any change can be made. After the change, you'll need to restart each client so it will read it's configuration data anew.
If you have a shortcut, it's very easy to change the fah client, just by right clicking on the fah shortcut, select "properties", and then add -configonly (that's one space, one hyphen with no space after it, and configonly), to the VERY end of the "target" string listed inside the shortcut.
Then click "apply" and "OK", to save it.
After you re-enter your configuration info, the fah client will stop itself. Now's the time to remove the " -configonly" from the target string of the shortcut, and then just double click on the shortcut to fire up fah, with it's new parameters.
That will do it! (Sounds far more difficult than it is, takes longer to read this, than it does to do it, by far).
Any questions, just fire away. :soda:

Thank you very much for the info. I would like to add however that I have been submitting WU's for about a week now, and this just kinda started. I will try re-configuring the IE settings and see what happens. Thx also to CJ145.
EDIT: Well that is slick. All instances back up and running with new configs and picked right up at the checkpoint. Already got a "Results successfully sent" message.
Cheers,

The way this problem usually shows itself:
1) Ho hum, everything folding is fine.
2) Your system is upgraded to include IE7 - perhaps automatically, without you even knowing about it. In any case, you think "Why would IE7 be different than IE6 for communicating with Stanford's server?"
Hard to believe!
3) You get the Http, & Wininet error, on all folding clients, all the time. :bang head:
But we've got your back! :santa:
