Due to all the 680I and 780I crap that's going on right now I'm considering going with a Asus P5K Premium, Q9550 cpu and the new G92 8800gts when they come out. Would this be a decent setup or would you advise me to change something.

dollar for dollar and feature set the IP35-pro is the better board. while the only feature i find that sets the P5k prem. apart from the ip35 is the voltage dampener. which really isnt that big of a deal..

i asked once about abit vs asus on the intel side.. i was told that abit is like a cross between dfi and asus. wich to me sounds pretty exciteing :) this asus clocks decently, but it seems more like a "safe" board. dfi tweakage and asus stability is pretty tempting.
