I have a couple of cpu heatsinks and fans lying around, like the volcano 5 and 6. I just recieved a GeForce 256 yesterday and it comes with only a fan. I want to practice better cooling with vidcards and i dont want to wreck this card. How can I fit these components on the card.?

Arctic Alumina Adhesive. Dont forget to cool the RAM too (use Arctic Alumina Adhesive on RAM too.
You will probably have to put 4 little dabs of super glue on the corners so it will be able to take off with not a hard struggle when its stuck.
Then you should put some ASII in the middle of the core.
As for ramsinks I don't know if that's really necessary as its not as hot as modern cards today and not much of an overclocking card.

Although this article was mainly for Radeons, the instructions work for all GPU's

You could but it'd probably make no difference.

For my GeForce 2 MX 400 64MB i cut an old Pentium heatsink down then drilled holes in it and pushed the stock pins throught it to fasten it. I got the core speed on it from 133Mhz to 230Mhz. in by opinion thats a good overclock.
