hi there,

i'm building a new rig, everything is set up already, but i'm having some doubts about the memory.
that is, i can't get my hands on some crucial (crap...no one sells them in portugal... tsc, tsc...), so, the main question here is what to choose.

my main purpose with this system is gaming, 2d rendering (photoshop, illustrator), and some college papers. the whole system will be overclocked.

the system:
cpu: e6750 @ zalman 9700
mobo: asus p5kr
gpu: sapphire hd 3870
mems: the big question

i ordered the xtreem dark 2x1gb (in a month or two will upgrade to 4x1 though), but the geil ones are appealing too.
the geil, besides having life warranty, seem good. the black dragon are they gaming/overclock product, but i can't seem to find some good review on them.

some advice on this issue?

ps: while posting, i found these OCZ XTC Platinum/gold. they seem pretty good.
the gold 5-5-5-12 on 2/2.2 v, the platinum 4-4-4-12 on 1.9/2.1v

ahhh crap, i just can't decide... help someone?

i would stick with the darks.if you can get some of the normal team extremes that would be your best bet.

id go thru your vendors stock and see if you can get something d9 from that list.

well, the geil ultra has d9 chips. but in the vendor, they do not provide any further info on the mems, so i might end up with the spectek-3

so, i guess i'll stick with the dark. thanks guys!
