You need to reinstall windows to make use of SSE or so I've read (I dont own a XP or Morgan)...as far as the wcpuid reading a Athlon I dont know maybe the reinstall will fix that also.

eh?

... once WCPUID said that my K6-2 was running at 0.50 MHz ! For the SSE support tho, you need to reinstall your OS

minoukat>> I had the same problem w/ WCPUID (even the 3.0d ver.), windows XP and ex-"my K6-III" everytime I pressed on refresh it, just wrote a different FSB speed and my "Speeds" changed accordingly, about the SSE support I've heard too that u have to reinstall the OS.
Though MBM5.1 & Sandra didn't have a problem w/ my speeds, they have always wrote the right one.

I have reinstalled OS and sandra shows results as an athlon , default fsb is 100mhz(200)

a giga**** ga-5aa motherboard (ss7) with a amd k6 processor for some reason (with 2k) will show at 1/2 clock speed in wcpuid yet is running at full speed

1/2 life runs at 2x the normal speed too i think this is an old speed hack, never tested it
