Hard Drive Clicking?

Every so often when I open an application I hear my HDD click. I have the power options set to never turn anything off and I'm scared it may mean my HDD is dieing. If it is in fact dieing, how do I go about this without losing all my data?

Check the System log in the Event Viewer. If there are Disk errors, then the drive is failing.

A little trick...sometimes a failed HDD can be brought back to life, temporarily, by putting it in a freezer overnight. Gets you 5-20 minutes...sometimes.

I have had a few start clicking. I just check warranty eligibility and send it in.
