hello
anyone no if there's a (mod or work around) for the
p5n-e sli asus motherboard that will let me get past
the bus speed of(466 x 2 = 933)? i just found out that's
my holdup.i can push it more but not stable.in the manual
it says the ram can only handel up to 800mhz.i can get it to 933 x 7 = 326.8 stable.after that can't get stable at all.
i was reading that the chip on this board can't handel
anything past the 933mhz is this true ?
thanks
mike

motherboard asus (p5n-e sli)
cpu intel (e6320 1,86ghz)
o/c core speed 3266.8 mhz

bus speed 466.7mhz
rated fsb 1866.7mhz
memory g.skill 2x1ghz @ 800
videocard px8400 gs @ 256
cooling ninja cpu cooler

increasing the chipset voltage?
i tryed the vcore and north bridge.
don't recall seeing anything to increas
the chipset voltage . would that be the
north bridge ? if so i just get lockup's
when changing it.
thanks
mike

yeah, by chipset I mean northbridge.

I'm not really familiar with your motherboard, so I don't know what the average FSB wall is, perhaps someone else will chime in on that one.

What chipset does it use? 680i? i think 466 is bout all you can get

Looks like it's a 650i. I saw a review of this board hitting 490ish area but I don't really know them too well to know if that is average or high or what. I thought that the 650i's weren't really that great of overclockers, but IDK.
