Just took a look at the Celeron 1.2 intel datasheet. It lists on page 26 a max vcore of 1.75v. I've seen in the database people running 1.77-1.825v. Personally I wouldn't feel very safe with this. What are some of your views?

Well I seem to find high instability with my new celeron over my old one when I goto 1.725v or above so that could be the case. My old celery didn;t mind vcores above 1.825v but each chip has its own charechteristics. I would try and stay under even 1.7v if possible. I am 1.7v jsut to make sure my OC is highly stable. I think it would be even stable at 1.675v but I am leaving this to my bro so I want to make it as stable as I can. So far with a ambient of 80 deg. F or 27 deg. C I have a stable OC with temps around 40 @ load now. Keep figuring out tricks to get the temps down further. If I could keep this chip around 25 deg. C I could have my 1600MHz OC but alas these chips are a bugger around 1600MHz/1.7+v vcore to keep cool so if you can stay under 40deg. C you will be better off. I have about a 10 deg.C buffer with my chip so if in case it gets really hot my box should not fail!

I am already considering running an 80mm fan through the case side ducted to the processor should I need xtra cooling. I would think that should get some cooler air to the sink.

That is the mod I just got done doing about 1hr ago:) Help big time. I left the 60mm on the hs too and ducted the 80MM to it.

I'd push it more if I could :p

The core material is the same stuff that runs up to 2.10V safely with good cooling... the new processing only makes that core more efficient and helps it to run at lower voltages... I would think that 1.90V would be the real max for this core, assuming cooling were on the more extreme side.

I realize this is well above the norm, but this isn't a normal chip :D
