What is the difference between Raid-0 and Raid-1, etc?
Raid 0>two drives that the operating system thinks is only one. Speed increase due to two data paths being used at once. Each drive only has half of each file.
Raid 1>two drives, but the operating system only sees the first one. Second drive is and exact copy of first drive, and can be used to replace drive 1 if it fails.

try here (http://www.acnc.com/raid.html) or here (http://www4.tomshardware.com/storage/00q1/000329/index.html) for some very good explanations.
