View Full Version : How to make a pc lcd?
hi all i have seen many computers on the net from various places which have small lcd's that someone has made that display info such as cpu utilization,temperature,security info,scroll info such as which mp3 is currently playing etc..i was just wondering if anyone knew where i could buy or make something like this? thanks in advance!

I have a friend who has one of those on his computer. I'm not sure where he got it, but I'm pretty sure it would be close to impossible to make one, unless you know what you're doing...

i remember reading up on that a couple weeks ago. i actually had found a streaming video that shows how to install it, but i cant remember where. from what i remember it actually is not to difficult installing the hardware. the only "difficult" part is the software, because there would be some programming involved. there programs all ready to download that let you broadcast certain things (temp, fan speed, the simple stuff). however if you want something more complicated (broadcast what current song/movie is playing, have simple images, or displaying custom messages) you will probably have to program your own. i hope this helps, this all stuff i "recall".

From the movie Pie (the symbol)....the movie is pretty messed up from what I remember...

i made it. its from the movie Pi. its a great movie. yes its a little on the weird side, but overall its a great movie and i recommend it to everyone.
