digicam as webcam????

Just a shot in the dark mates, but is there by any chance a way i can use my HP photosmart 318 as a webcam??? I mean, it kinda sux when u shell out some dough for a nice digital camera, but u still can't use any video stuff :(...what's a guy to do?

Do a search on the makers home site.. they might have some software there to do that or where to get some if its possible... But Im going to presume that it can take small movies or some such, (ie hook up the computer to begin with). So I imagine its a possiblity... just do a lil research on it and find out :D

I have a Canon digital Ixus V, and it comes with a proggy called "Remotecapture 1.4" that can let you use it as a webcam amoung other things. I also have a freeware webcam proggy called "Pryme" that can get images from a TWAIN interface so maybe that would work for you.
