I have the Antec NeoPower 650 Blue
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371010
Im going to be upgrading to a new computer.
My build will probably be
Core 2 Duo or Quad (overclocked)
Nvidia Geforce 8800GT prolly XFX or EVGA
2 x 4G DDR2 800 Ram, will go 8 gigs later on
2 x Seagate 7200.11 drives
Some Sata Based DVD drive
a p35 based motherboard (probably the asus p5k)
Hauppage HVR 1600 Tv Tuner
Now when I computed the power requirements it looked like my Antec would easily cover it; however when I set the system load to 100% and set it up with 8 GB Ram it didnt look like I had enough amps on the 5v line.
would having 4 2gb ddr2 dimms be too much for the PSU, at least on the 5v line or do you think the calculator was being overly cautious?
