I had to print something out right? So I restarted my computer, as I don't have CUPS setup for printing. When I restart it post, but hangs at detecting memory, no sweat, it auto rest itself to stock clocks and rebooted, but it still hung. I knew I was in trouble. But in all reality this has happened before and it's nothing special just need to pop the cmos batter for 15-20 minutes and have it completely unplugged and all will be well. (I can't get to the cmos jumper without removing the video card so I just pop the battery normally).
Dammit! I just realized what happened.
But anyway, I get out my tiny little screw driver, that I use to pop the battery, because its to hard with my hands to try and pop it out. I'm fiddling with it and its not coming, I've done this a million times, something is wrong! I give it a closer examination and it looks like the battery holders has come loose! I've taken the graphic card out and it turns out that it is actually loose. I might have done that. Now I'm afraid to try and boot my computer at all. :( I'm not sure how easy a fix that will be.
And this whole issue was over my stupid freakin iPod shuffle! I completely forgot until I'm typing this that I have my iPod plugged in to charge it. When I have it plugged in it causes the system to hang on detecting memory. Its weird, iPod knows of this issue, but it generally only happens when the BIOS is trying to detect hard drives or boot from a USB device. The fact that ti causes my machine to halt at the memory detection is unique. And yes I've done this about 4 times now, but this is the first time that I broke something..I don't think that'll be covered under warranty anyway :-/
