How useful has 1GB been in other cards?
It will help if you're gaming in high resolutions, that's about it.

That can't be right...
IMHO, I wouldn't buy from any brand I know. And secondly, without any hard data reviews. There's also the Asus that's coming out soon,

Palit has been in the vid card business for years, it's not an unknown brand. Besides, everyone uses the nVidia reference designs these days. So the end result cards are are virtually identical. If there was a reason I'd buy one brand over another it would have to be either price or the warranty/trade-in program.

Not only do they use the reference design, but I believe that most brands' cards are manufactured in the same factory (FoxConn maybe?).

Palit? Never even heard of them.
I believe they and Gainward are one in the same, well basically.

So does anyone know what kind of warranty Palit carries? I'm a big fan of EVGA and their product backing, but I wouldn't mind gaming @ 1920x1200 without any worries.

IIRC, Palit purchased Gainward. I also think that's why Gainward is basically a European brand now, they're an upscale / modders version. Sort of what BFG started as. Palit is the vanilla brand.
