Hi guys!

I have a killer deal on an Asus Commando.

I know it's a not a board optimized for quads but can it take a Q6600
to 3.6GHz+ ?

I would say, it would be more depend on the cpu and cooling to go beyond 3.6ghz

I had a Commando that finally went to motherboard heaven, may it rest in peace. Great board.

Yes it would run a quad but I think 3.5 was my limit. As meionm said, it is more the cpu and cooling than the board.

EDIT: By the way, you might have to update bios if you've not done that to a bios that supports quads.

Thanks guys.

I didn't get the board yet. Should be arriving soon.

I plan to use a Scythe Ninja Rev. B for now.

Is there anything I should/need to do such as mods or also
get better cooling for the NB?
