Am I crazy?

I havn't played any of the C&C series but this look really cool. I only heard of it because of an up coming expansion, have you guys ever played this? Its been out since march.

Is it worth a buy if you like RTS?

Thanks!

It's the worst CnC after Sole Survivor, but it can be fun for a little while. If you are a CnC fan, I'd suggest you buy it if you find a reduced copy or a cheap double pack, otherwise I wouldn't bother - Red Alert 2 is still far better despite it's age.

Bah! I enjoyed it. I never got into any of the old school CnC games. I was more of a Warcraft guy. It was good for a whirl. Didn't get much into the multiplayer aspect of it, but the campaign was fun and the factions are unique enough to make them feel very different from eachother. Not sure that I'll pick up the expansion, though... so many other great games just came out.

Me and my friends only found it good for 6 on 2 insane AI killathons =p

Except I always have to take point since evreyone else sucks at holding up against them...

I enjoyed it, the movie cut scenes alone were worth it.

Yea, I forgot all about that! The cut scenes were quality. They got some good actors in there. The two girls from Battlestar Galactica and Sawyer from Lost. The guy who played Kane was good too.

I thought it was good fast paced fun. Me and my buddies also enjoyed lanning against some hard AI's and I played some good games online as well (most games over in under 10 minutes which was cool, the fast pace made learning quick.) I thought C&C 3 was worth the purchase, just like every other one in the series.

I like games like starcraft, age of the empries series, I like to gather resources, build up an army and killl people.

Mainly I only buy games for online play, I doubt I'll play the campaign I like the challenge of another person, are the severs still alive and jumping for C&C3?

I saw Supreme Commander that also looks fun but it looks like the games would last for hours!

EA are trying desperatley hard to make C&C3 into a competitive multiplayer. Unlike what many non C&C fans always say there is strategy to playing it if you are playing another good player, although yes it does lack the super strategy type play of things like SupCom. Games are fast paced lots of rushing/flanking/hit and run stuff, most games finished within 10-15 minutes generally.
Though the main thing of C&C as most people always say is your ability to micro manage things, you have to be fast at doing everything.

Very cool, so the online play is still alive?

I'm downloading the demo right now while at work hah i'm going to test it out!

This machine at work only has 128 ATI graphics card, but hoepfully it can handle it! It is a core 2 duo 2.6 with 2 gigs, if I like it i'm picking it up after work!

I like it alot. If you are going to do online play make sure you get the latest patch and install. One of the biggest gripes about the game is too often you can win if you spam tanks.

Wow C&C runs like hell on this machine, must be the graphics card and IBM puts so much **** on their computers for security I only have 1 gig of ram dedicate to C&C >:(

I'll have to test it out on my box at home!

its not bad, the factions didn't feel that different compared to the other c&c games. It was cool that they kept kane in the vids from the original c&c.

I think the game is fun. My favy is the Scrin (i think thats the name) the alien faction. The tripod dudes with some aircraft is like a win/win no matter what happens. Its the kind of game you have to play really loud on. I turn my Z-5500's up at least half-way to add to the affect of the games sound. Gives you more of a feeling "Oh S*** im being attacked!" i geuss lol..i would have to say pick it up its really fun, i got the kane edition and enjoy every minute of it, great LAN game too...

Part of what killed it for me was the lack of mod support, the game was never going to be polished enough for good MP on release, but with no possibility of another Progen or Deezire the modding community couldn't fix it.

If you like fast paced RTS's then its a great game. Also the single player is well done.

I didnt like it at all! Visually nice, but it didnt grab me at all. The units all felt similar minus differences in damage.

Wasn't feeling the constant tiberium mining either.

Liked the Generals games better.

I played C&C Generals for a while. I didn't like the AI much was just to dumb it seamed. Lots of time two tanks one next to another, one would be getting the you know what beet out of it and the second one would just be sitting their waiting it turn to get trashed. Could be I just didn't invest the time in the game but I did play it through to the end on campaign mode.

I may not get it, I played the demo some more, its fun but seems to be less complicated than I would like. Somthing feels odd to me when I play it.

Its also so easy to get resources, I guess I'm use to Age of the Empires 3, and I'm really looking forward to Starcraft 2, so I was looking for something to hold me over until starcraft 2 but it looks like I won't be finding anything yet!
