Hey all,
I am rather new at this, but I had a question about RAM dividers. For some reason, I cannot find the RAM divider in my BIOS. Normally, one should be able to adjust this in the BIOS, no? I was wondering, is the RAM divider called something else? My mobo is in my sig...thanks for the help!
man, it feels like a lifetime ago that i was getting my feet wet with DDR2 on that board, ahhh the nostalgia. anyway, here is what you are looking for but keep in mind that this was on a BIOS from over a year and a half ago:
Advanced Chipset Features > Memory Configuration > Memory Timings > it is the Timing Mode option that selects the ratios i believe.
here are my screenshots mapping your way from my review of this board oh so long ago:

then, as mentioned, the highlighted option in the screenshot for Timing Mode should be the divider selector. HTH and thanks for the memories...no pun intended :D

3oh6,
do you have experience with this board? it has been kinda finicky for me. i am having trouble with it misreporting voltages and spotty temperature reporting with programs like speedfan, cpu z, and everest. did you have any of those problems?
thanks

Did you disable Cool 'n Quiet in the Bios? That will cause bad clock and voltage reports it its enabled.
unfortunately i haven't touched anything AM2 since the summer of 06 and haven't touched this board since the spring of 06. all those software would have been updated 5 times since then. from some screenshots though from back then, i can see CPU-Z v1.35 was reporting vCORE correctly up to a certain point then it would read below actual vCORE. again, that is with a very out of date CPU-Z.
sorry i couldn't offer any more help, i just don't have the board in hand anymore.

i have disabled cool and quite.
i contacted foxconn, and they told me that the reliable monitoring software for this board is nvidia monitor. it definitely seems to be giving me the most realistic results, but i would like the peace of mind of conformation from other programs.

I've found, at least with my Biostar board, the only thing that gives me accurate readings for temps and voltage is Biostar's own monitor. Nvidia monitor, speedfan, etc all reported readings way way off.
Check this out for divider help
