This is my first post and I was wondering if anyone could help me with a memory issue.
I have 2 1GB crucial Ballistix 1066 stickshttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148069 and it won't go over 220mhz FSB when I MEMtested it the bandwidth was only 1100mb/s and it failed the first test. But when I checked the BIOS in my motherboard I noticed that the max vDimm I can set is only 1.95v and the recommended voltage for my memory is 2.2v so what I wanted to know is if the memory is actually bad or if I just need a better mobo to support it, and if I need a better mobo any recommendations for a good AM2 board?

Here's my specs
ASUS M2N-E SLI AM2 Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131096
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Black Edition
Geforce 8800GTS 640mb
Antec 500w PSU

If anyone can help me I'd truly appreciate it.

ya more power would help.

did u lower ur HTT and did u set the timings when u bumped ur FSB?

and do u want a SLI mobo?

Maybe if you loosen the timings a little, just to test things out....I agree, a little mor volts would help, just don't go crazy :)

It needs 2.2v you might get away with 2.1v

at 1066 5.5.5.15 you will need 2.2v

Thanks for the welcome and all the posts. ^_^
I dropped the HTT to 3x and the CPU to 6x before I tried oc'ing the memory, and I've tried loosening up the timing, I set it to 6-6-6-18 but it still won't go any higher. So I guess I just need a board that supports higher vDimm I would prefer a SLI board cause I want to add another 8800 in the near future.
