gigabyte P35C-DS3R keeps disabling my overclock

I have had my CPU (Q6600 400*8) running Prime95 overnight without a single error, yet for some reason, my motherboard keeps disabling my overclock and reverting back to default. Can anyone help me figure out why? I have flashed the BIOS to the latest version and gotten all the newest drivers.

do you have the cmos jumper in the clear postion?

No, it's doing the whole start to post -> shut down -> restart with lower settings thing that it's supposed to do if it fails to boot. Anyway, my motherboard doesn't have a jumper. Just two contacts that I'm supposed to short to clear CMOS.

This happened to me also. I found out that my NB heatsink was not fully clipped on. I snapped it back in place and the problem went away.
