Yes i was looking at GeForce4 Ti 1000. This is the fastest graphics cards built on GeForce4 chip working at about 300MHz frequency. The card will have AGP 8x interface and 128MB DDR SDRAM memory working at 700MHz... ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS OMG LOL CAN'T WAIT..:D

Too Much, I have decided to wait 10 to 12 months on building a new system, maybe they will have a gf5 Ti 2000 or even a rad9500 by then...No I've made up my mind, skip all that I'm going to buy the latest and greatest virtual reality rig by then!

I like to wait at least a month or 2 after so they get some of the bugs fixed..

Exactly how much of a performance boost is this geforce4 going to have over a gf3? Hardware sounds nice, but have they come up with enough new tech. to show a massive improvment?
How far will gf3 prices drop?
Just wondering if I should get a high tech now or wait for the newer....

First, we would like to point out that T&L unit of GeForce4 will acquire the second vertex shader pipeline. Also all GeForce4 graphics cards will support DVD decoding on the hardware level, support TwinView technology and have two built-in 350Mpixel RAMDACs.
8 x agp and alot faster ram and gpu I think its going to be alot better then the gf3.

Donīt remember where I read that all cards will support agp 8x, maybe vr-zone. Also, there will be only 2 models of gf4 mx.. and there where little diferences in gpu/mem speeds, for better!

I heard that mobos that support agp8x would be annouced in january, like gf4.

Sounds like a tight card, but I would just like to settle for a GeForce3 ( any kind ) or a Radeon 8500. Right now tho I'm very happy with my Xtasy 5564.

I'm gonna jump to Nvidia Eclispe (NV30) when it comes out.

With 400MHz GPU/8 pipes and 1GHz Ram, this monster will CRUSH any previous model by 100%.

ohya, and dont forget 64-bit colour.

Ge-Force 4 does all DirectX 8.1 and it uses one feature from DirectX 9 which is 3D Texture Bump Maping.

Also, maximum texture size is now 8192x8192x32

Man, Im just now decideing to get a GF3 Ti 200 for a duron system...screw GF4....they need to let developers catch up....

man...what are we haveing a Video card race now?
Alrdy have a CPU race...but then again that means lower prices!!

Mojoman

Nvidia are competing in a race against themselves - and 64-bit color? wtf for?

16-bit is 64 thousand colours (plenty!)
24-bit is 16.7million colours (okay that is mega-plenty)
32-bit is 4 BILLION colours (okay okay lets stop now, that ENOUGH)
64-bit PFFFFFFFFFFFT ITS JUST SILLY

I thought it was being "announced" in feb? Or are they actually going to sell the card in FEB?

I read years ago that the human eye couldn't discern any more than 4 million or so colors. That was back when the Amigas had 16 bit color available out of a 24 bit palette and most peecees were still using CGA :P

Aren't the extra bits useful for something else now?
