My hometown store doesn't carry anything above 8600s (as far as I know)... And those are always sold out when I've been there. =(

Time to get on the phone with the local bestbuys >P
In-store, high end, graphics cards at best buy?
Uhm, don't think so.
Checked mine for kicks. 4 whole rows of video cards stocked top to bottom with an empty space labeled 8800gt :P

Uhm, don't think so.
With the way newegg, et. al. are price gouging, Best Buy is actually cheaper.

Eh , grabbed one JUST incase the Dell deal does not pan out as expected , even though I ordered early .
Shipping dates seem fairly good ... but lets see if it holds true :
Scheduled for Standard delivery
Estimated Arrival: 12/14-12/19/2007
I can always return the card to Bestbuy if its not needed .
Thx for the heads up on the back-instock notice ! ;)
So...uhh....Does this mean that the cards are in stock at every store around me, or am I looking at it wrong?

All OOS in the DC area too...
My store got 5 in on our truck tonight. I picked one up for giggles, we shall see how it performs.
Wow, all sold out here in SA too. I would've canceled my Dell order for this.

Wow , just got an email saying my card has shipped . I only ordered only yesterday (12/11) .
This was only a possible back-up situation for my Dell/MSI order (from 11/24 , delayed to 12/17).
Iam still goig to hold out for a few more days my Dell order to ship as I'd like to save the $40 and have the higher factory oc ; but as right now now I cant believe BestBuy beat out many other re/e-tailers on getting the product out . Shame too I cant use the 10-12% off that came in the e-mail the other day as I'd probably just keep tthe BFG instead .

Yup! I ordered one for in-store pickup and also placed an online order. Figured that if the store sells my card that was reserved for me I will at least get the online card. Only thing I will probably be out is shipping and thats not bad. Beats waiting another month for the dell card!
Well, here in Southern California, there is a 15% off on all BFG vid cards at BB till this Saturdy. So $237-15%, that winds up being $200 or so, before sales tax.
In Los Angeles County, the sales tax is 8.25%. So if you snatch one, you wind up paying about $217 or so.
Not a bad deal, if you really need or want one of these GT's.
However, I have just stepped up to the new 512MB G92 8800GTS from a 640MB 8800GTS. Just mailed the old card in. So I do NOT need one of these GT's!:)
However, I have been debating whether I should buy one of these GT's and then sell them for a SMALL profit?!:)
Do you think I could sell one for $250?:)

Does not work that way (wish it did) . The current SALE price already reflects the 15% off . 15% of $280 = $42 .
BFG 8800GT :
On Sale
Reg. Price:$279.99
You Save:$42.00
Sale:$237.99
Anyone know if the BFG cards Best Buy is getting come with the new improved stock fan that they are starting to equip the GT's with?

Well ... I grabbed one INSTORE today and used a 12% off rewards coupon = $225 otd . This matches the MSI Dell price .... not bad . There were two cards still on the shelf when i left this morning (92584)
Now , I have to return the one thats still comming in the mail from BB (online order) ... AND Iam still waiting for the Dell order from the 24th . Man I hate doing this many purchases just to try and grab a single item , eh .
This is just crazy , but i should be happy i got anything , let alone for a pretty sweet price .

Checked the local best buy this morning before work and saw that they had some in stock. So after my 8 hour shift at work I went down there (It is on the way home) and checked and to my suprise they still had 2 in stock so I picked one up. Around $250ish after tax so not bad deal. Only an extra 30 bucks lost going from the msi deal to this card.

FUQ, I had to return mine. Out of nowhere the fan started seizing up, making loud ass noises and then just stopped. Something was jamming it, took off the heatsink, but couldn't find a small enough screwdriver to get the fan out.
BB had just got a truck in, and someone was kind enough to look through and get me a replacement, since there were none left on the shelves. I decided to just take a refund though, cause I would have been hella ****ed if it didn't reach the OC levels of my original. Don't think I will get BFG again, my final AGP card was a very poor overclocker from them.
So the store on Tuscany in Corona should have at least one, probably more.
