The author (kilsrat) of the beyond media plugin, dvd library, just added support to playing (with an external player) and to catalog hd-dvd's and bluray.
Just thought I would let you guys know, I thought that it was pretty cool, I am pretty sure I will be buying one of those LG drives now...
