Why Problems with 1.5gb of ram

i was wondering if anybody else has had problems with win 98se. i ha din 1.5 gb of ram pc 133 but i kept getting lock up problems, and lots of restarting. i removed it . now i run 612. with no problems, can anybody help me ?? i would really like to run 1.5 ram.

Welcome to the forums. Win9x cannot see more than 384-512 mb of ram without massive Vcache mods (registry). This OS does not need any more than 512mb. I would switch to Win2000 or XP with that much RAM. It is not worth the hassle to do the mods though.
