Looks pretty amazing. The graphics rival Crysis definetly. Much better destructible environments, must better AI it seems.
It's kind of like STALKER + Crysis.
There doesn't seem to be an inventory system like in Stalker which is a bit disappointing, it's missing the RPG elements. The realism seems a bit funky too, and I'm extremely tired of the Desert Eagle pistol but it's still got a long way to go I believe.

Hm....Farcry 2 and Warhound look very similar, doesn't seem like anything special, just crysis graphics in a first person shooter with a jungle.
Don't get me wrong, graphics are amazing these games just don't keep my interest.
At least there will be a game that the 9 series can handle (hopefully) when they finally do come out.

I cant watch it at work, but I was impressed at the first video I saw a few weeks back. I think its running on a tweaked Crysis engine.

That looks fantastic! I can't wait for this one, I think it has the potential to be better than Crysis (and Crysis was excellent)!

what engine is it run on?
I seem to remember reading in PC Gamer a few months ago that this is a new engine developed specifically for the game. Don't quote me on that though.

looks utterly amazing don't get me wrong, but not all -that- different then Crysis. Will GPU's be availaible before 2010 that can hangle FC2 with max detail/resolution for <$1000? I'm curious. Crysis has already pushed it past the limits of current affordable hardware imo. I guess its not comming out for a while anyways.

Looks amazing, what caught me was the realism!!! Needs a little polishing of course, but a map and compass, basically open ended level with an objective...my cup of tea. I hope they nail the AI and make the story line a least a little interesting.

Edit: me thinks me'll need sli soon

WarHound and Crysis are vastly different, in Warhound you gets loading screens and different level maps I believe. This is all one big map, you do what you want, how you want, when you want, 360 degree angle of attack. Like STALKER.

I watched both movies. I have never seen any game have all of this stuff!

1. Completely realistic and destructable surroundings
2. Lighting effects where even the breaks in the clouds are taken into account, TIME... The
3. WIND! Actual wind that will move a tree limb if you shoot a rocket nearby or amazingly, move fire around from a brush fire.
4. The AI is extremely intelligent, if you wound someone they have medics that try and get that guy out of the fight and heal him.
5. If you don't use weapons that much, the gun will jam sometimes.
6. Cool flamethrower!
7. Smart buddies that will help you.
8. Shooting at ammo supplies will blow them up, and the enemy knows this too!

I'm really impressed with the demo.

Yea, this looks fantastic, nd this only pre-Alpha stage, according to the video commentator and the graphic in the lower left of the demo screen. Damn, I am gonna have to build a rig again, in the New Year.

I didn't realize it was that realistic, that does make it pretty cool then. I'll def. get it when it comes out, did you say 2010? dayum!

Loved FC1 and this looks awesome! I am thinking FC2 will do what I loved about Crysis (and then some) and leave out what I didn't (crappy aliens and boss battle). Can't wait for a demo. I will be buying this on launch day for sure.

Woah, untill watching the second demo closely I didn't realize how insane that cloud/sky lighting is, really unbeleivable.
And those wind effects

I loved FC1 and will certainly give FC2 a try as soon as it is out.

That's pretty neat how when the wind moves the limb, the shadows move as well. There were quite a few shadows in that opening clip. That looks pretty CPU/GPU intensive.

8. Shooting at ammo supplies will blow them up, and the enemy knows this too! Ammo = Explosive barrels, both are unrealistic

I'm really impressed with the demo. YES!

These arent new.....

That's what I thought as well...

Still looking forward to it, now all they have to do is make everything compatible with Crysis so we can swap over stuff from each game :)

Am I the only one that isnt impressed with the AI at all? YAY, another game where you fire a shot from a mile away and they know EXACTLY where to drive to. Its just stupid. And to call them smart? They just ran around dying when he assaulted that small village.

I posted the very first demo of it here months ago, never saw these so thought I would post them as well...
Btw Crysis destructible environments = huge joke lol. Can't even ride a tank over rubble without it getting stuck.

Twigglish I noticed that too but it's got months to go, that was pre-alpha after all. + there's always room for realism mods :) (which is kind of a shame because you would think the developers would notice that players want more realism...)

Yea, I know its still super pre alpha alpha and all, just pointing out what I see so far.

Actually this game isn't conencted to Crysis in any way, neither does it share anything with FarCry 1 but the name and the huge Environments..

The reason is that ubisoft has the rights on the FarCry name, but as far as I know not on the engine or anything and CryTek moved to EA..

looks pretty impressing, anyways

I think I remember another video where they talked about it being a Ubisoft made engine. I gotta tell ya I am not a Ubisoft fan these days but if they are making a real PC engine and game, that looks and plays as good as or better than Crysis, is not a crappy port, and has no 'meh' alien levels or old skool boss battle,... I'll be 1st in line!!!!

Jamming weapons is the most idiotic thing to hit games in a long time. The first game I remember with this was Space Hulk. I've shot close to 10000 rounds out of my AR15 (civilian M16/M4) and it only jammed twice and that was due to a bad round once and a bad mag another time even going over 1000 rounds with no malfunctions.

I read that the Dunia engine is a heavily modified Unreal 2.5 engine. From what I gather it'll be similar to how Half-Life had an extremely modified version of the Quake engine, that was modified in-house by Valve. It has its roots in another engine, but it's so different that it's a completely different product.

If you liked Clint Eastwood in "A Fistful of Dollars" (which was a remake of a Japanese movie).

You'll like the plot. 2 warring factions and your the trouble maker.

How great will it be when you stumble upon a leopard or lion and can have them chase you into the village where they tear they AI up. While you watch from a rooftop.:)

Sure gonna miss the suit powers from Crysis tho. While watching the demo I was thinking its to bad he can't jump up to the top of that boulder.

Huge fan of Farcry so I am all in.

That's something I liked from the AI in Crysis, they would run in circles because they had no idea where the shot had come from.
