Ok I successfully managed to unlock my AMD T-Bird 1133mhz to 1420mhz(142x10)@ 1.87v. I was running 3DMark2K1 and suddenly an idea poped into my head. What if I lower the FSB and up the Multiplier. Well I lowered the FSB to 137x 10.5 it worked good so I decided to go higher 135x11. rebooted my comp and it read only 1147mhz!. So what my cpu is doing after I go higher than 10.5 is set itself to the defualt(8.5). I unlocked my cpu the lazy, easy way, a mechanical pencil. Could this be why its not going any higher? should I use the defoger goo to connect the L1 bridges? What about metalic paint, will that work? any other methods are welcomed. Thnx

You probably didn't get enough pencil on one or two of the bridges to make a good connection. Wipe it off w/ a soft eraser or some rubbing alcohol and try again.

You said that you had it at 143*10, why didn't you leave it there? A wider fsb will 0wn a higher multiplier any day of the week. That, and w/ a lower multiplier, you can lower the voltage of your cpu more.

An example: My processor default is 10*100=1000. I unlocked it and changed it to 7.5*133=1000, but at default voltage. I raised the multiplier to 9*133=1200, but still at default voltage, and HOT! So I lowered the multiplier to 8.5 and raised the FSB to 141 to get 1200. W/ this I was also able to lower the vcore to 1.50 from default w/ 100% stability, and cool (well, not freezing, but cooler!)

Just some food for thought
