I wanted to see if anyone had this problem. I ordered two 8800gt cards from evga. For some resean I could not raise the fan speed of one of the cards with either rivatuner or ntune. I figured the fan on the sink was bad or a bad connection somewhere. I took off the stock cooler, unplugged the fan and then reattached everything. Now both cards can be adjusted.
Anyway, I ran fan speeds at 70% and peaked out on Crysis at maxed settings at 65c. Idle at 53c. Loud is the word I would describe. I ordered two aftermarket coolers. I hoping not to lose my hearing until they come.
