View Full Version : Installed ubuntu on a USB 4gig drive.

Yup, It worked after trying like crazy with never ending issues with XP, I ditched it, and installed ubuntu to my PNY XLR8 USB 4gig drive. Its the fastest drive you can buy. with 200x speeds, linux boots up pretty quickly.

I would like to try Win98se, soon as I can find my CD.

But I like the fact that is portable. I'm going to plug it in a different computer and see if it boots off of it.

This is a GA-P35-DS3L board, I'm going to try it on a P965 in a few.

Will keep everyone posted..

Yes it work too!!!

Infact, the audio on this board was detected as well as the Nic.

MSI-P965-Neo MS-7235 V1.1, Celeron 2.8Ghz. This is really awesome!

ya linux is super easy on a flash drive thats for sure, whats really fun is taking DamnSmall Linux to school and booting up off that... so much faster :beer:

The best part is that it is portable... But seems to work only in systems with bootable USB BIOS...

sort of, if you have a floppy drive you can make a bootable floppy then boot off the pen drive, i forget how tho.
