I dont really understand what is going on about nVIDIA and Detonator and other drivers....what are they for?

I though that if I use an ATI vid card, I can only use ATI drivers?

Where do I get nVIDIA drivers?
Can anyone use them?

NVIDIA makes unified drivers.
This means one driver download will contain drivers for all of the nvidia video cards.
If you have a nvidia gpu based video card you can use nvidia drivers.
You can download the official nvidia drivers from www.nvidia.com .
