for the sake of my sanity, please do the following and post results thank you very very much:

right click desktop > properties > settings tab > advanced > GF3Ti200 tab

you are greeted with nvidia's rotating logo..now the important part. under bus type, check and see if it says the following:

AGP (PCI mode)

if it does, please please let me know. i am trying to figure out why my card says this and your response will help.

also, what OS, and drivers are you using for your card

Just a question, did you change the system bios from pci to agp? BTW if you reset cmos it will default back (usually) to pci.

bios is in agp mode (checked and rechecked it :))

Well, i dont have a Gainward but i thought i might take a look at my Visiontek properties just out of curiousity.

i have AGP listed.
using Win2K - nvidia's ref drivers latest version 23.11

Mine says AGP... using win98se and nvidia's 23.11 drivers....MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!:p

regular gainward gf3 here, and in agp mode. using win2k

Possible the motherboard/chipset drivers are causing this. I've seen this in the past, other than saying I reinstalled, I placed little time/effort into figurnig out why this was so...

Ok ,there is a setting in the bios where it will say plug and play OS installed ,select yes here,and have it reset the data under it.
