FSB question.

so i have ordered an Abit ib9 lga 775 p965 chipset mobo months ago. i forgot what the fsb was. i ordered a c2d e6650 1333FSB 2.33 processor. but this mobo is only 1066/800 fsb. how will these components interact with each other? is it a bad idea? is it going to kill any of my hardware? is it safe?

no its not going to kill anything, worst case the computer doesnt boot. if you currently have a cpu in the IB9 go to the tw abit site and grab the newest bios. then try the cpu since you already ordered it. if it doesnt boot with the newest bios then bad news is you need a new board.

*edit*
well according to Abit's cpu chart it wont work...

if you live in the US, newegg.com has the IP35-E for $89.
