Here is the tuning you do:

Take this knob:

And turn it clockwise as fast and as far as you can.

Listen to music, a winner is you.

Seriously though dont do that its bad for it.

Go buy decent cheapish speaker wire to replace the trash they come with. $15-20 that'll go a long way. Get decent $1/foot 16 gauge monster from a local hi fi shop

just tryin to figure out how to set this up. the front 3 is easy since it sits on the desk, but the rear speakers... wall mount? speaker stands?

Thought they wouldn't work like that until I played something in 5.1. They must just be right because they sound like they are 10 ft behind me ;)

Looks like those in-store Bose displays. Sorta looked like a arcade with a screen at standing height and the two rear speakers mounted on poles extending from the top of the display unit.

Yep, I made them. I found that the easiest way was to use 1/2" conduit, then I fashioned some receptacles for them so that they can be easily removed.

cant go wrong with the z-5500's for sure there great speakers i love em. i got my set for 187 also off of mwave but i had no hassle of MIR it was all just "you save this much" but im curious, would i notice any real difference going from a audigy 2zs to X-Fi? but i was also considering trying to get these bad boys in optical, is there a sound card that provides good optical playback for games and music and movies..sorry if this is a thread hi-jack just curious..

Another vote for the Z-5500's, I got mine a really long time ago and payed a lot more than the $187AR you guys are getting now. They are worth the money, it's basically the best you can do without going to 'home audio' speakers.

I know he already got them, I just happened to use that phrase cause I was posting on a car audio forum in noob threads helping them decide on setups, so I was just 'in that zone'. Lets keep this on topic.
