ok check it out today i unlocked it useing this guide

it worked very well and fairly simple took me about 45 min. (sence i had to keep making tape to cover the others)



but in my bios i still cant not change it

in my frequeny/voltage control all i see is

auot detect dimm/pci ck and its enabled

under that i see cpu host/pci/ spread spec and thats set to default

i can change the cpu host one BUT only by -5 and +5

could it be that i did not connect one of them right on the L1 brige

P.S one last part the cpu seems to be runing hoster i have about 42 idle now where i had like 37 idle... but i still have not goten my thermal compond and im runing without it could that be the resson for the heat???

What CPU, MOBO and other stuff do you use ???

BTW, I don't think you needed to make new tape for every bridge, you could have used the same but just changing it of place. (my 0.02 $$$)

woops i forgot LOL

here are my specs

1.13 athlon on 266 fsb
256, 133 sd ram
ECS K7VZA (newest bois update alrdy flashed)
Hercules Prophet 4500 (based on kyro 2 chipset and not overclocked in anyway)
30 gig western only 5700 rpm
3 fans (1 blowing from blow the HD, one blowing out next to cpu and one huge one on the PS mointed oddly on the rear and not under also blowing out..
a valcano II heatsink and fan (no thermal compound on cpu at this time, i ordered one and should be here soon so i will unlock it and give it some needed thermal compond)

also i redid the whole job so i used nail pollish took it all off and redid it a bit cleaner and now i know for sure i did it right....

but i still cant overclock it in my bois....

P.S i have the aixa or something like that version of the chip and it also says C at end which i heard means its also a 266 dont know if thats any help but.. o well.. my mobo is set to 133 fsb..

P.S.S well this blows my hsf speed lowered from 5112 to 4964 how **** could that happen??? makes no sence to me all ive done is add a very small fan over the chipset under it.. and unlocked my cpu but what does that have to do with anything???..
