Will my old water kit handle a GFX card

I had a thermaltake bigwater SE I used to use, since I upgraded to a Q6600 the SE just couldn't hack it.

I have a 8800GTS which runs about 65c when working hard.
If I get a waterblock for the 8800 will it cope?

I have an extra rad for the SE loop and 4 x 12cm fans.

What do you think?

The Bigwater SE alone can barely handle a P4, let alone a 8800GTX

You will certainly need another radiator, and probably a new pump to keep flow high enough.

yeah, and since its a kit, you probably need to buy new or used stuff as it jsut wont work together.

building a new setup would give you alot better temps, than one of those kits.

The bigwater worked great on my old Athlon 64 3400+
dropped me 20c and achieved a 400mhz oc

but on the quad it was unusable

For the most part "kits" just aren't good. They are nothing more than bling. The Thermaltake kits are a prime example of that. IMO Thermal should stick to making cases, they are good at that.

The flip side to that are the Swiftech kits. They perform very well because they use performance products, and are really nothing more than a re assembeled package of parts many new to wcing would buy.
