ok guys ive just learned u cant OC on my Mobo

ecs k7vza

even after unlocking my card TWICE with defogger. i learned that this mobo wont allow it.. this sadings me a great deal and at this time can not go out and get a new mobo because being a student i am on a very tight buget and i had to do a LOT of searching to be able to get a high end 1.13 ghz amd for 500 bucks

that includes ram new HD, mobo, cpu, vid card, dvd rom, fans, hsf. u know everything...

ive heard that there is a way of doing it off ur bridges...

is this true??? like to multiply and so on (i dont want to increse my fsb)

another sad thing is that i have a axia cpu which i hear can be OC greatly but i cant use it..

what im trying to say is. is there anyway to multiply the cpu speed without it being in the bios?? also to tell a tale of a sad student trying to boost him 1.13 ghz amd to at least a 1.2 and not being able :(

but on the plus side i did not fry my PC during the unlock :D

I can help you with a cheap O/C friendly M/B. Do you use SDRAM?

Unfortunatly no, ECS are known to have non-overclockable boards although great stablity you can probably trade in your mobo for a lil money and spend it on a good one.

You must not have really done that much researching as you would have known about the shortcomings of that board.

Secondly, don't feel so dejected, you are only talking about 70Mhz which is a totally unoticable increase in performance.

Keep your rig and be happy.

Most overclocking is under- rated and is only done to apease the psychological desire to get something for free.

Waiiit....

You cannot change your CPU Frequency?

...?

Doesnt matter the multiplier.

As long as you can change your CPU Frequency Which you should be able to do..

Your good to go..

Take a digital camera pic of your BIOS, And the screens..

i dont have a digital camera to show u but i can tell u waht i see in my drequency/voltage control

first thing i see is

auto deect dimm/pci clk and thats enabled

then under that i see

cpu host/pci/spread spec

i can set cpu host/pci/spread spec to +5%, -5% or default (what its set to now)

P.S DJ2000 dude the resson i really want to start ocing all my chips from now on is because right after i bought my cpu a new one came out for the same price and u have to say that can **** anyone off, its like wtf cant u let me injoy being high tech for at least 3 weeks??? so i want to OC and not feel so BAD :( that and i need a good hobby :D

You can change the mults usingthe different bridges but it requires cutting some of teh bridges as well as closing some. Go to Toms hardware guide, there is a diagram of all of the different bridges and how you will have to modify them to change the mults. Also, unless you can do it in bios, you will probably have to alter the voltage too. Hope this helps.
