Hi guys,

I want to measure the vcore on my 965p-DS3 rev. 3.3 to see how much the vdroop actually is. VR-zone has an article out but thats for rev 1.0 which has a totally different layout then the 3.3 revision..

so anybody know where to measure it? pictures would be nice

I was looking for this not too long ago, couldnt find anything for rev 3.3

The only thing I can recommend is looking for the big heavy traces running under the caps but be real careful. The potential is very high with there regulators to quickly deliver a huge amp surge that may burn up quickly if shorted. There is also some danger with the power supply at 12V and 18-45Amps.
