yeah thats pretty high. thanks god my bud didn't the 8800gt or G92 GTS. i was trying to tell him to get one besides the 8800gtx. ( i have a gtx) and he said na ill just get what you have. good thing he did.

in call of duty 4 with everything maxed with 4xAA and max AF at 1680x1050 it s around 620-640mb of video ram.

i think they should be a higher memory G92 card.

YES there is the ASUS 1GB 8800gt out but i wish they had that for the G92 GTS

o well you never know what will come out soon. maybe asus will make one :santa:

ya, with higher resolutions becoming more standard and people liking their eye candy, 2008 will be the year of 4g of system ram the norm and 1g vid ram becoming main stream i am sure.

I think you have a memory leak.

Heres a screen shot of 8800GT running Crysis at 1900x1200, all High and 2x AA.

you know that may be why cause his game crashes after a good hour or so of play online.

and thats what i guess the upcoming patch is going to fix.

on my computer crysis uses around 670 give or take of video ram with most things on high and a couple things on medium at 1680x1080 but NO AA on. i have no crashing problems like he dose.

well hope that patch comes out soon.

hey did you hear about the gift crytek is going to give out today?? i think its a new map.

Well, thats including the additional shared RAM. So if you have a 768MB RAM, you have an additional 768MB of shared Video RAM provided by your actual RAM. So with a 8800GTX you actually have a total of 1536MB of Video RAM.
