I`m looking for a Good Water Block. I`m stuck between Swiftech and Danger Den. Any suggestions?
I've looked at both, and would have to vote DangerDen.
The Swiftech units at best have fittings for 1/2 inch OD (outside diameter) This would require the thinnest wall 3/8 tubing available. I personally would prefer using half inch inside diameter tubing, which would be much larger outside.
If you would like to trade fittings with normal hose barbs, then the only concern I'd have with the swiftech units is the mix of copper and aluminum...you would have to ensure corrosion protection using a water additive. Something that should be used anyway.
Fittings being equal, It's down to the cost and appearance. Blue is purty! (yes, pretty..I can spell):D

I was leaning towards Danger Den too.
SO I should opt for the 1/2 inch ID / 5/8 OD fittings? which means I would need a 5/8 ID 3/4 OD HOSE? Need to make sure i get the correct hose. I read that the the diff in performance between 1/2 and 2/8 ID is not that much diff... but i will take whatever advice you have .
Thanks for your input.
I do use a 3/8 ID hose system. But I think I should have started with a 1/2 ID. The reduction in hose size makes my pump run warm and that concerns me about it's life. Also the size restriction makes my pump run well below it's rated 250gph. (the reason for the pump's warm temps).
I'm moving to 1/2 ID as soon as the Holiday's are over.

I will return my $3 for 20 feet 3/8 ID hose to home depot :( and get the 1/2 inch ...btw have a great holiday.
I was also planning on using a 2 oz{Water Wetter} to 126 oz{Distilled Water} ratio in a closed loop system.Inline 270 GPH pump ,Black Ice Radiator which I think is Copper so I hope there will be a limited amount of corrosion taking place.
Thanks again.
Excellent. Nice sounding setup.
The Black Ice is all copper, and with a bit o' water wetter, I don't think you'll see any corrosion.
Have a great Holiday too.
